I saw Paddy for the first time today. It will probably happen more and more as time goes on. We all know how fast Mr. and Mrs. Tiger's little ones grew. Paddy is just over a week old now.

We were watching Paddy tonight because Bonnie left the nest for a few minutes and we had a really good view of the owlet. Bonnie came back and out of nowhere Zilla came to bomb Bonnie! The chatters said it was the first time Zilla had been there in 12 days. Bonnie gave Zilla a run for her money and struck the first blow I believe. Luckily Peg was videoing and caught most of it.

Whew!!! That was exciting. I think Bonnie did great!!
I looked in on Bonnie this morning and she was all puffed up on alert and beak snapping. I could hear hooting from another owl. I left.

Bonnie on guard and beak
That little Paddy is so darn cute!! Just look at that face and still hugging up to its egg brother or sister. These GHO babies are a lot cuter than the barn owls..... sorry Patti but those barn owls are some UGLY little critters!! LOL
It was fun to look in on Bonnie and Paddy this evening. Nice and peaceful on the nest. She started to get up and I leaned in to get a quick look of Paddy and looks like she hatched a rabbit.

Poor Bonnie is packed in ice again! I watched for a few minutes this afternoon and saw Paddy come wiggling out to stretch. Bonnie took the opportunity to get some food out of the pantry and have lunch. Bonnie was sitting on her food which I thought was pretty smart! Paddy didn't stay long outside of mom's warmth before she scooted back underneath her. It looks so cold there with strong wind and snow flurries. I can't believe how much this owlet has grown!

I think Paddy figured out the climbing and wing thing. It looks like there is still food on the nest just in case he can't get the hunting thing. YAY!!! Paddy, fly free and be happy. But watch out for OWLZILLA!!

This will be just as much fun watching Paddy grow up as an only child. It sounds kinda scary out in the jungle. 
It looks like there is still food on the nest just in case he can't get the hunting thing. YAY!!! Paddy, fly free and be happy. But watch out for OWLZILLA!!
