It seems Hans found a new mate along the way. Enter Heidi aka... Didi. They seem to be hitting it off quite well. Didi laid egg #2 today

Hans delivered a rabbit to Didi last night. There hasn't been many rabbits since the year Roy the Rabbit Wrangler wiped out the entire neighbor rabbit population. Last season was the year of the vole and gopher with no rabbits delivered that I can remember. Nice to see them recovering. LOL

Didi chugs a big rat from the pantry.

Info bar above chat says that one of the eggs was not fertilized and Didi consumed it. She's now incubating 3 eggs.

Hatch Watch Week starts on Sunday, April 20th, which is the 29th day since Egg 1 was laid. Eggs usually hatch within 29-34 days @ 2-3 day intervals; in the order they were laid.

Didi consumed another non fertilized egg last night so now there's only 2 left out of the 4 laid. It's hatch time!

Last night Didi had a big white rat. She ate the sketti out of it and then put it back in the pantry for later. I made a video just in case Kai missed seeing it.

9:25 Sher67: We are sorry to say that the two remaining eggs appear to be nonviable. The drought in Southern CA is just too problematic thus making it difficult to sustain a clutch at this time.

I haven't checked in on this cam in a long time because I know if I'm not seeing videos hitting youtube that nothing is going on. I decided to open the link tonight and WOW! Look what they've done for us owlaholics!
