I drove past the nest with the full intention of getting some video of Lucy. I knew when I left school she was in the nest. I stopped the car and looked in my mirror and I could see that she was up and flapping her wings and ready for take off. I didn't have a chance to get the camera on her and she was out. I did see her fly and land down by the highway. She was eating on something or caught something, I could not be sure what it was. She took flight again and landed. I found her near a road kill deer that is in a safe location near the creek. The deer managed to get a decent distance off the road. She took flight again and I lost her, but on my way back Larry had snuck in the back door and was on his perching branch. I have seen Larry in one of his perching spot 1 mile from the nest several days in a row after school.

Patti, thank you for bringing this over, it was so awesome to watch. A mod at E4Kids (Photofun) send Talon some deer hearts to put out in the carcass. Couldn't believe Larry brought that to his lady. He is an amazing Eagle. Not sure how many she sent, but hoping Larry gets his share today.
Every few days I stop in at E4Kids to see what the latest and greatest is. Their website has a Daily Updates page that I find very interesting. I'm looking for an update on Larry and maybe even Lucy but until then I find the 'kids' posting very interesting and educational bits on different types of eagles. The 'kids' are teaching!!

Both Peg and Talon captured Larry taking Lucy a heart. 
Lucy could not have found a better mate ... and I believe this one IS for LIFE!!!
